Oooh, just found this thread - and yes, the title did catch my attention! There are some lovely tattoos, I specially like the one of Secretariat - he won the triple crown the year I was born.

My first tat was a little horse on my lower right back, that was about ten years ago, and just had the flowers put on my foot this year.

 

 

 

David and I would like to get one more tat - a symbol that means instinct, but so far we haven't been able find any, and it has been suggested to us that instinct is a fairly modern word, and so may not have any old symbols for it! Can anyone help with that?

Thank you Jayd - I shall check it out. I'm aware that the bear is the sort of symbol i'm after, but finding one that would make a nice tat is difficult - this link is one I haven't seen yet so may just lead me somewhere....

well here is my tattoo & my wifes, story behind it ? well our only son lost his fight with cancer on 31/1/08, we were grandparents in march 07, he was diagnosed in may 07 and passed away in jan 08, there memorial tattoos, my wifes is a portrait & its outstanding!!, mine was designed by a friend in scotland, emailed & i printed it off & took it to our tattooists,
