No that would be too wide a spacing, a grey could get it's head caught, usually 1 inch is the maximum width, that wide a spacing sounds more like a macaw sized cage.

Judy is spot on.

 

I personally would go with 3/4 inch bar spacing. I do not want my Grey to be able to get his head outside the bars at all.

 

Dogs might just lop it off for him. ;-)

I agree Dan for it may be possible for a small Tag to get their head caught in 1 inch bar spacing but usually they recommend nothing wider than 1 inch.

Thank you,I guess Im on the hunt for a new cage.Its a shame because I have a brand new power coated kennel (5*5*5) that I wanted to set up for her but the bar spacing is 1 3/4.Her bed cage is 24*22*40 and is ok for now because she is only 12 weeks old,but I want something much bigger for day use when Im not home. Ill keep you posted,Thanks again,Tom
