food intake good news or not?

hi, i bought a pair of greys earlier this year, they had 2 clutches last year with the breeder in may and october, i have noticed over the past week thier food intake has trebled, but i also notice the hen has slightly looser faeces as well. they are taking it in turns in the nest box, i have checked the box thre is nothing in there, i know they increase thier intake of food around breeding time but this much? is this a good sign or not?

They will not over eat and yes food intake goes up.

 

The looser stools could just indicate they are eating a lot of watery fruit or veggies along with solid foods.
