she Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I have never had to clip Charlies nails,he usually does not need it.After once again treating the scratches on my arm I decided something needed to be done.So tonight Charlie was in a cuddle mood so I took advantage of this and got my nail clippers.Charlie allowed me to pick his feet up and clip the very tip from his nails.I was amazed,I was not expecting that,he does let me play with his feet but that was so unexpected.He even looked like he enjoyed it.I am so proud of him.
lovethatgrey Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 What a good boy Charlie is!{Feel-good-00020114}
judygram Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 He probably did Shelia and since he allows you to play with his feet then that just made it easier, Josey does not much care for me fooling with her feet so my arms are a little scratched but I accept it as life living with a grey.
Luvparrots Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Congratulations Sheila, sounds like Charlie trusts you to no end. Great bonding going there!! Even a looking guy needs a pedicure once in awhile!!!!
Tycos_mom Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Thats great I wish I could do my Birds nails. I do the smaller birds but the bigger ones I take to the vet she trims them with the dremal tool it works well for those needle like nails that the birds puncture my arm with. Adaya needs her nails done but I'm going wait till she gets a little older
Azzie Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 When I first got Cleo her nails were indeed like needles, and my arms looked like I had been dragged through a blackbery bush backwards. I got some really long pieces of driftwood from the beach, soaked them overnight, let them dry and put them in her cage, starting from the bottom corner and going to the opposite upper corner. She loves clambering up and down, and this has worn her nails down where they are so sharp anymore.
