Ecko and Slater Video

So I let Ecko(he is 10 weeks old) and Slate(he is 3 years old) play on the floor together for the first time to see what they would do. I was really worried that Slate was going to bite Ecko so I sat close and made sure nothing happened. I was so suprised at what they did. Well Ecko was the one trying to nip at Slater, not really bite him but test him, and all Slater did was put his head down as if he wanted a scratch. I couldn't believe how he acted towards Ecko, its as if he knew he was a little baby and that he needs to be gentle with the baby. Slater was being so lovable and making all these baby noises. At the end Slater started to regurgitate for him and then I think Ecko was trying to copy him. I think they are going to be good friends. Can you guys take a look and tell me what you think was going on in their little heads, I recorded it on video. At the end of the video Ecko steps up for me! He has become really good at stepping up. I'm so proud of my little guy. :woohoo:

Oh, Slater is such a sweetheart. Perhaps he was trying to get Ecko to play with the little toy. Such a gentle grey. Ecko is a little cutie with his toy. Thanks for sharing with us!!!!

Thats the cutestest thing Ive ever seen it looks like Slater is trying to play daddy to Echo. AWWWW. The toy you made really keeps Echo amused but be careful of those kind of bells birds can get their beaks or toes caught in the slits and then panic and hurt themselves. I heard horror story's of Birds chewing off heir toes to get them free from those bells. when your not home please take that toy out of her cage.

Thank Pat, I never realized that the bell could be dangerous. As soon as I read this I went in his cage and took the bell off. I am not risking anything!

Aww Caitlin I loved that video your baby is so big him and slater look almost alike lol. Where did you find those toys at? They are so cute that red pacifier looks so much fun! Thanks for shaing

They love each other! Ecko preens Slater now. Look, I caught it on camera, isn't that the cutest most precious thing you have ever seen? hahah I think it is.

Thanks Carol! I got the foot toy from a bird show in my area the other day. Ecko loves foot toys. I got another one that is a mini shoe and he loves it! Ecko loves our shoes so I thought I'd get him his own shoe haha. I thought its the coolest little toy ever.
