Storm_2007
So for a few months or so Storm has been playing with her feathers, ones that she has plucked. Just kinda chewing on them and such. Its not something that happens all the time. Just occassionally. she doesnt have any bald spots or anything. Is it normal to play with feathers? Should i be concerned? Dave007
All parrots if they can get to the feathers that have fallen out will hold them and play with them, preen them and sometimes chew on them. It's nothing to worry about and it isn't a sign that your bird is becoming a plucker.
Tycos_mom
My birds love playing with the feathers sometimes I add their molted feathers to toys I make.
