Amebella
I have had my Grey Monty for 3 years, he recently learned some swear words from my new roommates who thought teaching him such words would be entertaining. I really do not want him saying such words and I was looking for suggestions or methods on how to discourage this new found vocab. Since they are new words to him he feels the need to scream them and repeat them excessively I'm not even sure if teaching him NOT to say something is an option. But if anyone has any methods on how to discourage certain words.. or any ways on encouraging him not to say something I would love to hear it. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ame
Eckobird
Hello Ame and welcome to the forum! I'm sorry to hear that your roommates taught Monty some bad words. The best thing you can do is ignore him when he says it. Don't laugh at him, yell at him or anything like that. Eventually he should stop saying it if he doesn't hear those words anymore. Tell your roommates to leave him alone and don't teach him that stuff. Good luck on that.
