Tycos_mom Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Shady has finaly started sleeping on a perch rather than lying down but I noticed that he still sleeps with both feet on the perch rather than lifting one leg. does anyone know how old they have to be before they lift their leg to sleep. Iknow that sick birds will perch with both feet down I'm just trying to figure out if I should be worried or if he's just to young to be able to balance on one leg yet. He's only been slepping on his perch for 2 days now.
BaxtersMom Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I don't know the answer to that question but sure the others will be on shortly to let you know. I did want to congradulate Shady on making the big move up to the perch. Growing up fast, huh?
Eckobird Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Ecko sleeps on the perch too! He has been doing this for 5 days now. He sleeps with one foot up and he is 9 weeks so I guess around this age is when they start to lift up their foot. Maybe Shady doesn't want to yet. lol
Luvparrots Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Glad to hear Shady and Ekco are both starting to perch. To hear about the accomplishments of these babies is so much fun. Thank you for sharing this experience with us ladies!!!
