Mingus Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Thanks in part to many of your responses Kofi (almost 10 months old now) seems to be cutting down on the screaming and increasing his talking. In fact he rarely shuts up, having something to say about everything. I know it should not come as a surprise, but it still astounds me just how active his mind is. The more face-to-face conversation I have with him, the more he says and the less he shrieks. He (perhaps grey's in general) seems to be particularly aware of the slightest attempt to manipulate his behavior .Trying to interest him in something else because I'm about to leave for work, for instance, he simply DOES NOT BUY IT! One simply cannot pull the wool over his eyes.
Eckobird Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Thats great news! Kofi sounds like such a character! If you could catch his talking on video one day we would love to see.
Luvparrots Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Greg, sounds like you and Kofi have bonded very well. He sounds like a very smart and curious grey. I'm very happy that all has worked out well for both of you. I would like to see some new pictures of Kofi if you have any to share.
Mingus Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Good idea, I'll have to work on my technological saavy. He is a character.
judygram Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I am glad to hear you are making some progress with Kofi, they are all individuals so please continue to be patient with him, he is a very smart grey and will keep you on your toes.

She gets this really haughty offended little attitude, which of course is completely justified!

Post edited by: LindaMary, at: 2009/04/08 17:21
Jane08 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Glad to hear the screaming had reduced. I swear it is something we give off in our body language that lets them know we are up to something or trying to get one over on them. When I am trying to get one over on Rangi he watches me so closely and it doesn't take him long to figure it out. There must be a face or slight change in my body that tells him I am up to something. I tell you though the times I have victory are very very sweet.
