My beautiful Beau has arrived, he's been here just about an hour and hasn't stopped preening yet :laugh: I guess he must feel a little dishevelled after arriving in the back of a van :lol: anyway, he is quite alert and has taken to a toy I have added to his cage, in fact he doesn't seem at all bothered by being in a new environment - or the short journey he undertook to get here. All is well with Beau & me. Any advice will be gratefully received

I will do just as soon as he starts chirping/squawking, he's a little quiet atm. Other than that he seems fine. Yours is gorgeous, his tail seems longer than beau's - very red too. Awww, is he/she called Btittany or is this just your user name?

Aww thanks caitb2007, he seems so happy and is eating well now. I may even let him out a little later, if I do I will take some pics.

Hurray! I'm so excited for you and Beau as you start your new life together. Did you ask the breeder what his favorite treats are? I'd offer him some tonight before bedtime so he feels extra loved! Some warm baked sweet potato would be a nice treat for a baby on his first night home if you don't know what his favorites are. Have fun with your new companion.

I have given him some kiwi fruit & grapes and he has taken some. I might try a little digestive biscuit later, I might need to use that to entice him back into his cage if he comes out. Will try the sweet potato. Oh dear I think my other half is going to feel rather neglected in the weeks to come.

Lol patience guys. I have him out atm, he is incredibly tame. Will have to wait for the other half to get home and take pics, Beau won't leave me alone, he's already bitten through my bracelet lol!
