Caspersmum
Hi Karla, Someone was talking about poo just the other day, but I can't for the life of me remember the thread. Casper's is usually olivey green to olivey brown coloured, with a bit of white. How watery it is depends on how much he's been drinking and how much fruit he's eaten. That's the unscientific explanation - I'm sure someone else will do much better, but there IS a fair amount of normal variation. I wouldn't worry unless it turns magenta or maybe royal blue! splint101
Hi Karla, Max's poop is like a olive green with some white and some water at this moment, b4 it was like a brown green color with white and some water. But yeah it makes a difference in what they eat and drink.

Post edited by: splint101, at: 2007/06/13 09:
Guest Monique
Olive green with white is normal. The white is actually the urine portion of the poop. As has already been stated color can change based upon what your birdie eats.
Richardsmommy
I wonder if girl poop is different than boys? Just curious. Mine goes a LOT compared to my mother's bird. But Richard loves to drink water and loves to eat EVERYTHING. His color ranges from green, to brown, to white. I heard somewhere that we should only give our birds spring water instead of tap water because tap has lots of chemicals, menerals and metals in it. Is this true? I was also told birds can eat anything except chocolate, caffeine, and salty foods.
Talon
It's the same color for both genders. Color can varey depending on what they've eaten.
chong138
I've had my grey for about 8 months now. He's 11 months old and his poop is really watery sometimes. I keep fresh veggies and pellets in his cage during the day. At night we give him a little seed and usually spoon feed him some pellets that have been softened in water and made into a kind of "mush". So, should his poop always be solid...or is the watery poop normal sometimes?
Guest Lidia
Poop varies according to diet, time of day, what is being pooped, pretty much like our own variety of poopness. If your bird is eating a lot of watery veggies, then its poop can be quite watery at times. It may also be urine, though, in the poop, and that is quite normal. My CAG's morning poop is usually quite large, green and solid, but the later ones vary substantially. I would only worry about it if it persists without there being solid poops (large or small) in between or if I saw undigested seeds, etc, in the poop. Your bird's poop sounds fine to me.
