Hitting my head!

Hello,

 

Most of the time, Spencer will sit on my headrest before he goes to bed. When I lay my head back, he hits my head with his beak! He never bites my head, just hits. I take as playing, but is he attacking me? When I lay my head back, it's below him.

He is playing and wanting your attention. I am surprised you didn't say he was also grabbing your hair with his Talons as well.

 

My Grey does this also when behind my head on the couch and wants attention or is just being goofy. :-)

Scheroeder whacks my head pretty hard when he is preening my hair, but, in general, it feels good so i let him keep up with it. I agree with Dan though, it is probably a not so subtle ploy for attention.

I think he is playing Ralph, He want attention and so taps your head.My grey will do that sometimes.

Rangi also does that to me he will walk across the couch and tap my head with his beak because he wants attention. As soon as I look at him he turns around and puts his tail in my face and this is the cue for cuddle time.
