Safe branches... Persimmon?

My brother cut some persimmon branches, and I haven't seen them on any list, toxic or non-toxic. Can anyone help? My dad used them as perches when he was a breeder, but I wanted to be sure.

Thanks, but I'm not looking to feed her persimmon fruit, rather just use the branches for perches and such. It seems like it would make perfect perches.
