Lychees

Anyone feed these to there Grey ? in UK there Lychees but in china i think there called Litchi. i found out there are a rich source of Vitamin C, as well as calcium, potassium and phosphorus. ... My Dusty Loves them. Any info that anyone esle has Good or bad please let me know.

I have never seen them here in the US and don't know anything about them but what I do know is it is edible but not the seed pit, probably ok to give to your grey just don't let him have the seed pit.

I love Lychees. I haven't seen them on the forbidden foods list so I think I will introduce them to my parrots after a quick call to the avian vet. Just to be on the safe side.

i Call my avian vet he said there ok but dont feed them too often.

Don't over feed your parrot with lychee. Over dose of lychee could kill a human because of its high sweetness (sugar).

Charlie loves them,they are good for them but they are sweet so may have a high sugar content.Charlie loves pulling the skin from them and is very carefull to eat every bit of the white flesh.
