Eckobird
So I am anxiously waiting for my baby CAG to arrive and I thought I would keep myself busy and start making toys. The first toy I made was pretty simple. Its just wire and beads and some rope. This is what it looks like: I made one for these birds that I am babysitting for a family member and boy was it a hit for them!! About a minute after I put the toy in their cage they were checking it out and started playing with it. The female was loving it soo much, I swear she was playing with it for hours. I snapped a couple pictures of them playing with it and having soo much fun! And then I made another one for my mothers grey to see if he would like it. He is usually scared of new toys so I didn't think he would like it at first. But I was wrong! As soon as I put it in his cage he was curious and started playing with! As I type this he is still playing with it! lol I am pretty happy with the results of this simple toy that hardly cost a thing. Here is Slater playing with it.

Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/03/08 20:
chimaysmommy
That looks cool!!! Nice job... I feel your anticipation, my CAG is expected next weekend and I've already gotten in on the homemade toy experience. Now it's just a matter of making sure I have enough by the time he gets here! I'm sure your new grey will love it just like those other birdies did!
