Number6
Hello, I just recently adopted a 1yo (hatched last Feb.) CAG named Gina. I grew up around birds, with my dad being a breeder, but finally got my own. She is sooooo tame. She doesn't talk much yet, but since she came to us, she has already learned to mimic our whistles. Her favorite toys so far are coke lids that she can rip the inside liner out of, gatorade lids are even better. I haven't taken any pics with my camera since it is actually a camcorder and takes horrible stills, but here's some that the previous owner sent to me. Guest Monique
Welcome to the forum Number6!!!!! Sounds like you have some great resources for bird questions with your dad being a breeder and growing up around them. It will be great to have your input here!! Do you have any other parrots? Number6
I don't currently have any birds, hopefully in the near future. I used to have a Patagonian conure, but my mother couldn't care for her (while I was between houses and she had cancer), and the people caring for the bird ended up selling her behind my back. My dad has helped me out a lot choosing which breed to get and the proper care of her. She's in a very caring home now, and she will be loved. She even takes a liking to guests in the house. Guest
Hi Number6 welcome here and I'm happy you joined us B) You mean to say that you don't currently have any birds except for Gina of course, no? She looks very cute, especially the 2nd photo is exceptionally sweet looking!

I guess it's because she's a bit larger. Oh well, it's ok. It also looks like the previous owner tried to clip her wings and didn't do a very good job, she seems to pick at the feathers they trimmed, like it irritates her. I have more pics but my brother's camera takes HUGE pictures(3.5mb), I'll have to shrink them down before I upload them.
