RoadSpawn
Hello All, Everything is going well. Upon doing some reading on the web, I came across a website. This website sells bottlebrush perches and play gyms. A nursery by my house sells these trees. Could I use the trunks and branches from these trees to build a play gym and/or make my own perches? sugarbeth
Of course! I wish I had bottlebrush near me because I would do the same thing. But I have to settle for other bird-safe wood native to the NW.
sugarbeth
Oh, but I would ask them about pesticides, first.
judygram
Robert if you use the bottlebrush branches for perches or playgyms be sure to bake the pieces in the oven at 350 for half an hour to kill any bugs and such that may be in the wood and make sure no pesticides were used on the tree. If you do make a playgym please share a pic of it so we can admire your handiwork.
