splint101
Max has been flying alot this week, but today the most amazing thing happened. I was sitting in my office at home on my office chair and he was in the room next door and I heard this flapping noise so I thought that he was just flapping like always. All of a sudden I felt wind and he was sitting on my shoulder the next moment. So took him back and he did it about 4 times.... very cool indeed. Then I tried something ells, I sat about 2 meters away from him and clapped with my one hand on my other forearm holding it out for him. Then he flew straight onto my arm and did a perfect landing on my arm, did this about 3 times till he was out of breath.... I dig my Feather friend MAX.....

Post edited by: splint101, at: 2007/05/29 15:

Brian started flying properly about a week and a half ago, and like you i was minding my own business in another room and all of a sudden there was a bird on my head! He loves flying and i love watching him, i'm soooo glad i didn't get his wings clipped now. Have fun flying! it's the best! :woohoo:
CeasarsDad
Yeah, I started to let Ceasars wings grow out. He has 2 flight feathers on the outsides of his wings fully grown.. Just a few more and he'll be flying..
Guest Monique
That's wonderful. People who use the aviator harnesses a lot and exercise their birds I think that's one of the key things is to teach your bird to fly to you on command. Their video shows one person standing apart from another and the bird flies back and forth. My Isaac can fly but he doesn't do it often enough, must be a bit lazy, and so far I haven't had any luck teaching him to fly to me.
