Popeye developed a call when he feels alone and call until I react on his calling. Mostly it is only to confirm that I'm nearby. Talking back to your parrot will tell him what you are doing.
judygram Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Yes I've been told they will call if they don't see you to see if you are still around. Mine has done that and I answer her to let her know I am nearby even though she cannot see me.

Guest islandgirltexas Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 seems to be a bird thing..hahaha..all the birds we have ever had always called us...my macaw drives me nuts ...she calls my husband all day long until he gets home. Capt Jack is still too young to call..but I assume he will also...better be a good one because it can get annoying if you do not respond..hahaha:P
judygram Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Mine will call if she does not see me and I respond with I am still here and she is ok with that. Out of her sight she just wants reassurance that I haven't left her.
