My Grey is not eating sunflower seeds

My Grey doesn't seem to be eating sunflower seeds. She likes to unshell the seeds. Is it normal for a parrot not eating sunflower seeds?

yep, they eat the insides and spit out the shell. at least mine does

But mine spits out the inside and chews the shell.

She just likes to chew on the shell I guess, but it is not unusual for a grey to not eat sunflower seeds, my Josey does not eat them either.

Maxi does this with nuts, when I give her one occasionally. Once she gets it open, she spits out the nut and keeps chewing on the shell. Go figure!:silly:

Mine won't eat sunflower seeds either. Or any kind of nut. When I offer her one she looks at me like I am crazy.

Every Parrot is different. My Grey for example loves sunflower seeds, but if given a human grade shelled peanut, he enjoys crunching and shredding the shell, then just lets the peanuts fall.......

So my Koko is not alone. I bought her some almonds and cashews but my Koko doesn't eat them. She just chew them to pieces as if they were toys for her to play. She loves cracking the pistachio nuts, chewing the shell and leaves out the pistachio.
