Brittany
Ok. We let the bird out this morning and we were watching him but we accidentally fell asleep. So I found a pack of AZO yeast pills that were empty, and i dont know if he ate them all. Hes doing fine now, and I noticed it about an hour ago.... but is this bad ?? I cant get ahold of anyone like a vet so I dont know. this was an honest mistake tho. i feel so bad
danmcq
I am not certain if the ingredients in those pills could kill your Grey or not. The ingredients are: Boneset (Eupatorium Perfoliatum) 6X, Mistletoe Leaf (Viscum Album) 6x, In a Natural Base Containing: Lactobacillus Sporogenes, Cellulose, Lactose, Maltodextrin. You really need to get a hold of a vet and find out. The longer you wait, the time will come that the pills will be processed in his system and there will be nothing you can do. judygram
Brittany, for most vets even on the weekends there is usually an emergency number you can call for help and advice so call around and see if you can find someone who can guide you in the right direction for only an avian vet would know whether your bird is in any danger, hope you can get an answer for I know how worried you must be. judygram
Thank God, Brittany that they weren't toxic and they probably didn't taste good so he just crushed them up to make a little mess for you to clean up, whew, another disaster averted, thanks for letting us know the good news.
Luvparrots
Glad to hear your grey didn't ingest the pills. Birds are so like having toddlers around, you have to watch them constantly! So happy all is well!
