she Posted January 23, 2009 Share Posted January 23, 2009 Has anyone any idea what it means when Charlie puffs out the feathers just round his beak. I have often seen him do this but cant work out its meaning. He does not bite when he does this but at the same time does not seem totally relaxed. djzenjen Posted January 23, 2009 Share Posted January 23, 2009 My Amazon does that. She only puffs around the beak. I've come to learn that it is her way of being relaxed. After about 5 minutes she will being to puff out the rest of her body. I would watch the eyes. if they are pinning like crazy, then I'd consider letting the bird have a moment to himself.
