Tigerlily Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Is the cage too close to the storage heater? i know they shouldn't be too close to heaters but how close is too close? it's either next to the heater or i rearange the room and put her right next to a window.
Poppy Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 My cage is in centre of a wall and about 3 feet either side of a radiator and a window with the cage in the middle .It seems to be ok with this , sorry canna help much more .
judygram Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Elaine, I think as long as the cage is far enough away that she cannot reach it when she gets on that side of her cage is fine, sometimes we have to juggle things around some to find the best fit but I don't see a problem in the picture you provided.
Dave007 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Heavy molting, more bouts of molting during a year, will tell you if it's too close. Add 2 ft of distance from that vent. That type of vent heater only emits dry heat with no humidity. Low humidity is a no no.
