Guest Monique Posted May 23, 2007 Share Posted May 23, 2007 Hi. This is normal for them to shed some white downy feathers. If you see a large increase over time yes he could be plucking. Birds molt in new feathers and down over time and to shed them is natural (just as we shed a little bit of hair). Not all birds have this fluffy white down like our Greys.
