joking Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Hi Everyone, I bought some ptfe free pans at Walmart about 2months ago the name brand is Tramontina. Well they have not held up well at all, so if anyone is thinking about buying them don't. If anyone has a name brand that they like please pass on the info to me. Also is their any other kind of pans that are ok to cook with? I know glass is ok but looking for frying pans...I finely posted a pic of Paco. Hope all is well and thanks for all your help. Jo
Dave007 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 You should simply go back to Walmart and purchase a set of stainless steel pots and pans. Walmart sells them at a good price. Go to Walmart with approx $8o in your pocket and you'll come home with a decent set or you can pick out individual pieces. Might take a bit of adjustment in cooking with them but i'll bet it doesn't take nearly as much of an adjustment as changing from a gas oven to an electric oven.
kittykittykitty Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I understand that cast iron for frying pans is OK, but they need to be cured and I think your parrot should not be in the house when curing them. I use stainless steel (very high quality) for everything else.
