mjames74
I've been a member for a while but just now getting around to posting. I have a 1 1/2 yr old female CAG whose name is Echo. Words she knows(in no particular order): Echo Hello That's a pretty girl/baby(says it both ways) What are you doing? Step up Gotta poop What? Huh? Crazy bird Come on Come here Peekaboo(still doesn't quite have the concept of when to say it but getting there) Love you Ready to go to bed Knock it off Daddy's girl Whoah Oh my god Go Get on your cage(likes to get on the floor and bite toes) Want candy(candy is what we call her treats, don't know how we came about that one) Want paper(likes to shred napkins) Shop it That's a good/bad girl(knows when she's being either and says it accordingly lol) Why are you being bad? Get the foot/beak(when playing, she'll hold her foot out to be grabbed and says it, or says it herself and grabs her beak with her foot when on her cage) And a few naughty words from mainly yelling at the dogs who bark at their own shadow: What the f**k Shut the f**k up God da**it S**t(that's one kinda funny, says it sometimes when she goes to bed and the lights go out) Also knows a few of the other pets names. Stewie/Emmy - 2 green cheek conures (knows both names) Cricket - Parrotlet(also calls him "crickie-dickie-doo" what we say to him(cricket) sometimes Duffy - one of our 4 dogs I think that's all she knows. Learing so fast it's kinda hard to keep up. Needless to say she picks up on stuff really fast, some things you don't even want her to pick up on, but even with the dirty words it adds to her personality cause she uses the phrases and the right times almost always. Like when she's having one of her temper-tantrums. But I'm looking into starting the model/rival training since she already seems to be able to label a few objects already, her treats/candy and paper, if she sees one of them she will say want candy/paper accordingly. Will probably start with numbers and colors. So just wanted to introduce us, I'll try being a active member. LOL just typing this the conures are raising cain and she says "Emmy knock it off, oh my god, then Emmy starts flying around the room and Echo says "Get on your cage" just never ceases to amaze me how intelligent these birds can be. She's learned all the works seperately and learned to make sentences like that all the time.<br><br>Post edited by: mjames74, at: 2008/12/31 02:

mjames74
Yeah she might actually be 2 1/2 now that I think about it. I know I registered before I got her I think trying to find buying tips and info before I got her. Got her from a breeder and had her dna sexed myself. But yeah alot of it was due to spending time with her. Now I gotta go and check the certificate and see how old she is lol. Time flys when you're having fun.
