Luvparrots
I am new at being a grey owner and I'm still unsure of what all is good and what is bad so here goes: I purchased Island Tropical Mix Naked Nuts Premier Gourmet Line. It's various dried nuts and fruits BUT there is Sulfur Dioxide used to preserve color & freshness, IS IT OKAY to feed to my baby grey. If you can help me, I would be forever grateful! casper
Sulfur dioxide is used as a preservative. If it is a reputable brand of bird food I would imagine evrything would be fine! Its not a brand I am familiar with though and dont use myself. Caroline.

she
I try my best to give my birds natural food without preservatives or colourings.I realise they do get some when I maybe give them tasts of my food but on the whole my advise is to keep the diet as natural as possible.By the way some parrot food and treats also have colour and preservatives in them. judygram
As far as dried papaya, pineapple and other dried fruits I order mine from www.drsfostersmith.com as they are free from sulfur dioxide, I try to be as careful as I can.
