ALERT: DO NOT purchase anything from Jungle Nest Company in San =

Antonio, TX.

 

This is a "heads up" for anyone interested in purchasing birds or cages = from this company. You might want to read my complaint, as well as = check the Better Business Bureau's records before doing so.

 

On 12/30/02, I purchased a Congo Cavern bird cage from this company. =

The following week, the package was received with the back panel of the = cage severely defective. The vertical bars on the panel were too short = to reach the bottom of the panel, leaving raw, sharp edges showing a = half inch or more from the bottom of the cage grid making the cage = extremely dangerous for any bird placed in the cage.

 

I immediately called the company back to inform them of the defective = panel. They assured me that a replacement panel would be shipped to me = the very next day. Two weeks went by and no back panel, no phone call, = no nothing. I called again, only to be greeted by a very rude and = non-assisting receptionist who blatantly told me that all cages and = parts were back ordered and she had no clue as to when more would be = shipped.

 

After speaking with the Pres. of the company, Perry Little, he sent me a = panel from a prototype cage that had been sitting in his garage to use = temporarily until their parts for the damaged cages came in. The panel = he sent was in worse shape than the original one and the holes wouldn't = line up for the cage I had, therefore making that panel useless to me. =

I called Mr. Little and advised him of the problem and he, again, = promised to ship a replacement panel as soon as possible.=20

 

I kept calling the company through February, March, April, May, June, =

July, August, and now September and have still not received the = replacement panel they promised they would send. I have listened to = excuses, broken promises, left messages on their answering machine, and = with their receptionist (Laura) and have not gotten any calls back from = anyone. =20

 

The Better Business Bureau of South Central Texas has had other = complaints regarding this very same thing and a report of that complaint = can be seen at:

My complaint is one of MANY. I've also been in touch with others who = have had the same problem with this company.

Wow! This is stil going on? I read the same post about a year ago. Jeez! Some people just don't know when to quit.

 

Give it up, lady. You got hosed, the company's not gonna fix it. Let it go.

If you're plonkin' me, you're not plonkin' the right one. Plonk the one whining about some company that ripped her off over a year ago.

Try an online classifyeds site. Dealing with real people can sometimes be easier then a company www.craigslist.com Is where I got my bird and cage. The bird had been living in it for 4 years and it's in perfect condition.
