kapinson Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Hi there, my name's Kelsey. I've had birds for years, but a month or so ago I got my first grey, Jane. Jane is a congo grey, and 2 years old. The woman I bought her from has always referred to Jane as a 'she', but I'm unsure as to whether Jane was DNA tested. Within the first week I got Jane, she would periodically try to regurgitate for me. Lately, Jane has been doing what looks exactly like the mating dance my little male red-bellied parrot, Turk, does. She holds out her wings and makes little 'chuffing' noises. I was just wondering, is this a thing all greys will do? Or only males, like the poicephalus parrots? She seems awfully young for all this silliness.
Dave007 Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 All greys, male or female, do that. So, a DNA test might still be in order.
