Potatoes?

hi all

 

maybe its me but i couldnt find the info i was after using the search function. i'd like to know if potatoes are ok for greys to eat? i've seen some info on sweet potatoes but nothing on the regular kind or the little 'new' potatoes. i read on another site they are ok as long as they are cooked, raw is a no no. i dont plan on feeding vince potatoes, but wanted to find out because he sometimes steals my dinner! :laugh:

Yes, Potatoes cooked are fine and most Greys love them. :-)

Dan is correct, raw potatoes are a no no!! Cooked are fine, and they love them!

i feed my grey mash potato sometime and they love it its also a good way to sneak in veggies!

Klaus loves potato ... all kinds and prepared all different ways. I thinks it's a close second only to oatmeal as far as his fave food!

Cooked potatoes are fine, but sweet potatoes are the potatoe of choice.

Rexxy loves potatoes too. His favorites are when they are cut into cubes for some reason. He also likes a little bit extra toastedness from a pan ....with no butter or oil. Just a bit of heat to add some brownness.

My Josey loves her potatoes too especially the sweet potatoes, I just cook them in the oven and she digs in, yummy.

Baked and mashed potatoes are a big hit in my house. It seems that is about the only food all 4 of mine agree on. They get so excited if they see potatos coming their way:laugh: And like Nims said you can sneak other foods in with the potatoes so eat them too.

I screwed up and shared some cooked sweet potatoes from my plate with Schroeder, the mistake was that mine had butter and his never do. Now he won't eat his stupid naked potatos. He prefers to throw them at me and eye my buttery ones. I really wish he didn't have such good aim. I have a sweet potato stain on my new, white cashmere sweater.
