oppie
Hello, I'm reading The African Grey Parrot Handbook, and it talks about playing a game where you put your friend in a towel and comfort and pet him. Do you play this game? All of the pictures in the book seem to be of CAGs, so I wonder if the book is geared toward CAGs. Spencer is a TAG, so do all of the things in apply to him? I ask because I've heard that TAGs aren't as phobic, for lack of a better word, than CAGs Thanks, Ralph
judygram
Ralph, they apply to Tags as well as there is not that much difference between the Cags and Tags but the color of the beak, smaller bodies and tail color. When the term african grey is used it means either. The towel game comes in handy whenever you might have to towel them for doing something to them you might not want to do such as removing a blood feather or the vet examining them, that way the sight of a towel is not stressful in itself.
