Pchela Posted October 30, 2008 Share Posted October 30, 2008 My baby girl Willow is destroying her tail! She has broken half of her tail off. She only has feathers left on her left side of her tail. She didn't pluck them out... she must have been playing rough or something and broke them. Is this normal? Should I be worried? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Lyric Posted October 30, 2008 Share Posted October 30, 2008 I think this is fairly common in young greys. My TAG Lyric broke his tail off twice when he was young. He would hang upside down off the top of his cage and just let go and fall. They also tend to be clumsy when young and feathers aren't that hard to break.
