she eats mainly the peel and drops the rest. is that normal?

Hey Trever, Sassy looks great. Dropping food does happen with greys, they have preferences just like you and me. Make sure you wash her fresh fruits and vegetables just like you would for yourself. What else have you learned from her. Any new words you can share?

unfortunately no words yet. I'm not sure how long it will take for her to talk. She is supposed to be able to say hello.

 

She does mimic some clicking sounds that I make and has some new whistles when I fed her pasta tonight.

Sassy is probably not going to talk until she feels more comfortable so be patient and I am sure you will be rewarded soon.

 

Most greys love pasta and spaghetti is a favorite, those whistles were her approval of dinner. B)

Well, that's funny, one of my parrots will eat the apple part and leave the peel. He actually wont touch the fruit if the peel is on it. :laugh: They can be so picky:side: :silly:
