Hi Nyah,

To post the photo, use MSPaint to reduce the size to no more than 500 pixels wide and/or 500 pixels long.

It is hard to say if it is normal Beak growth or not without a photo. But, Greys beaks do grow continually like finger nails and the outer shell will break off in pieces as they chew on hard shelled nuts or wood.

Dan is right, the beak will flake and peel and them rubbing it on their perches or most anything is normal, Josey does this all the time, sometimes to get a piece of food off of it and I would imagine that is how they get the flakes to come loose and fall off.

Their beak will look like it has a crack in it and technically it does but it is a minute crack that will eventually flake off, all a natural occurance as the beak is continually growing.
