Guest Monique
Well, Isaac is finally home!!! Yesterday was a long day for both of us. Him flying on 3 flight legs to get here, and us driving four hours. He came in at 6 p.m. and letting him out once we got to the pick-up he was SO happy. Chirping that little baby chirp they have when little, wagging his tail, flapping his wings. It must have felt so good to stretch! We all slept in and just let him out this morning and he promptly went back to sleep on his playstand. I'm looking forward to getting to know each other. TheGreyMiester
Fantastic news! I just went to my breeder’s house and hung out with Ollie for an hour. He is doing fantastic and already mimicking the noises I make to him such as kissing sounds, some clicking, and other noises he made up. My wife was with me this time and when she held Ollie, Ollie wanted to come to me shortly after. I desperately want to bring home Ollie! Its very hard for me to act goofy to Ollie with my breeder sitting right there so Ollie will just have to learn the fun goofy side once he gets home. My breeder probably things I'm a dull boring person but I'm actually frightenly goofy. :woohoo:
HeatherStrella
Awww I feel your excitement. (Both of you!!). I can remember the few days before we picked up Harrison..(we were going to get a girl and name her Sophia~Sophie for short)...well, we got there and Harrison picked us. We were going to call him Sophie still but we decided to go ahead and give him a boy name. . Are either of you keeping a blog? I thought about it but I'm a terrible writer. Anyway, HAVE FUN!! Guest Monique
Isaac is settling right in! He has such confidence for a baby and not clumsy at all. He's very sweet. He bites a little harder than necessary when testing your hand (or any surface) to see if it is a safe perch. I can tell he has relaxed so much as when he perches on my hand he doesn't hold on for dear life. He ate better today, too and ate while we were gone. Where yesterday I fed him by hand several times (not hand fed formula, just handing him pellets and seeds and such) because he wasn't eating enough. I enjoy him so much, I am really looking forward to the weekend when I'll be off work and can spend all day with him. It will be hard to not handle him more than I am supposed to and spoil him for playing well alone. But at least we can be by each other.
