marions91
I just heard today that if your grey does not talk in the first 16 weeks and only mimics, he'll never talk. This can't be true, can it ?
judygram
Thats bullcrap, some greys do not talk until they are over 1 year of age and that included mine and there are some that might not talk until older. I don't know where you heard that but not an ounce of truth to it.
Luvparrots
Not true, just go to "search forum" at the right hand side of this page and type in "talking" that should get you started on prior posts about talking. Good luck!!:cheer:
BMustee
I would say 80% of greys under 16 weeks don't even mimic sounds...they just make baby noises. Most greys start to talk around a year old...but some not till they are 2 or 3. I hope you didn't get your grey JUST for the talking because many greys do not talk. Janfromboone
Tune in to you tube and listen to 4zebird or Einstein from Texas. This bird is one of the cleverest talkers I know of and he was 17 months before he said his first word. I think I've got the age right. Anyway, he was way past a year old. I'll try to give a link here.
