MamaBird
Hello everyone. Im new on this forum but would like to ask for advice on bringing home baby. I've never had a grey but have some experience with my friends Eclectus and of course, my own little Conure. I am very excited and have necessary items such as cage and toys, but need to know if there is any advice you all would offer regarding ANYTHING grey. We want our new baby to be happy and comfortable, so please inform. Thanks a bunch!
estream
Congrats Mamabird :-) Hmmm, the first thing that comes to mind for me is pace. Slow and easy :-) Your baby will be exposed to a great many new things in the transition to your home. Take care to create a safe sanctuary where your new baby can see and hear the daily life in your home, limiting exposure to an overwhemling spectrum of new things all at one time. In my experience, the greys incredible intelligence is often tempered with great sensitivity. Take it slow and easy, and always with love, and in time you'll naturally fall into a pace you can share. I wish you well!
Guest
Welcome to the forum, MamaBird The first word that comes up with me is.... patience You will find that everybody is agreeing that this is the foremost important thing. As for the rest, Estream has said it all When is the Big Day?
