nims
Hi, I am moving to manchester and we will be living in a converted mill (plenty of high ceilings for indy!). However there is only electrical heating (which is costly!!) I am looking for heaters for my living room which are bird safe and non-toxic. Any suggestions welcome, we are looking into halogen heaters at the mo because they are energy efficient. Thanks Nims
danmcq
There are several options for safe heating of your bird cage area or living room. For space heating one room as you are asking about, an oil filled radiant space heater would probably do the job with the least electrical cost. Also, here is a good article describing winter time heating and birds. http://www.birdchannel.com/bird-housing/bird-safety-tips/safe-winter-heat.aspx?cm_sp=InternalClicks-_-RelatedArticles-_-bird-housing/bird-safety-tips/safe-winter-heat
