NewGreyMom
Hello all! Brodie"o" is settling in quite nicely. Thank you all for your wors of encouragement and support. We all made it through the toe nail clipping and he even "belched" for the vet. (He makes a very realistic sounding burp) Anyway on to the question. It occaisonally (ones a day maybe) looks as though Brodie is hiccuping (birds don't have a diaphram though) Anyone elses do this? or is he mimimicking hiccuping? Thanks to all!! Lisa, Mollie and Brodie"o" .....:>
lovemyGreys
There is a previous thread somewhere i just cant find it But your right birds dont have diaphragms & therefor cannot hiccup.A hiccup is a contraction of your diaphragm .Brodie is mimicing the sound of a hiccup

Post edited by: lovemyGreys, at: 2008/09/25 23:
judygram
Oh yeah, greys can and will mimic sounds like the burp, flatuence, cough, sneeze, hiccup or any other sounds they find worthy of copying, sometimes it is hard to tell whether it is the bird or some one.
