Guest Fergison
how much time, in average, do you spend with your parrot?
Guest CreepingTerror2
I spend almost all day everyday with my birds. That doesn't mean they are on me, but they are out of the cages and in the same room with me. If I go to put away laundry or something I just tell them I will be back. I do not respond if the U2 screams, but I will whistle or talk back if they are just making "contact" calls. If I am going to the store or the barn, I tell them that also and they know that means it is time to go in their cages. Many times they just climb in by themselves and the Grey will even shut the door. I don't know how much they understand, but I always explain where I am going and for how long. Dusty's usual answer is, "O.K., see you later."
Guest Ypsilon
I take mine to work with me. He sits on the perch behind me all day long. Basically, he's with me Every Waking Minute.
Guest genn
Lately it's only been around 1-1/2 to 2 hours a day. This is out of cage, crawl all over me time. Wish it could be more.
Guest Ypsilon
Cujo will do that. I've discovered that if he has something he's interested in, he can handle being away from me for short periods of time. Plastic container lids/caps are good. Empty pens or pen caps are the best. We have no pens with caps at the office anymore.
