Hi Marie,

most of us have travel cages, that would be your safest option. They come with a perch & most come with two bowls for food & water ;) If you can have someone sit with her in the back of your vehicle as it will be a long journey & they can reassure, talk to her.

Well, you have a few options. Many airlines do have pet cargo. I have heard that Parrots usually make the flight quite well, but when we got our baby, we decided to drive to get her.

They sell travel cages about $100.00 we put her in her travel cage and had a piece of cloth to cover the cage with (birds can get car sick, covering the cage usually helps with this if it happens).

It all depends on your preference. We did not mind taking the road trip, so that was the way we decided to go.

Hi Marie,

When I went to get indy our breeder gave us a carrier (cat/dog carrier) at the time i hadnt thought of getting a travel cage but have since got one and its great. I strongly suggest you get one.

We drove to get indy it was a 2 hour drive.

Good Luck
