Poppy Posted September 19, 2008 Share Posted September 19, 2008 hi all my mum has bought me a much awaited for AG.The slight problem is she is 300 miles away .Im just wondering ( i have read several posts in forums )what and how is the best way to transport it. lovemyGreys Posted September 19, 2008 Share Posted September 19, 2008 Hi Marie, most of us have travel cages,that would be your safest option.They come with a perch & most come with two bowls for food & water If you can have someone sit with her in the back of your vehicle as it will be a long journey & they can reassure,talk to her. I have heard that Parrots usually make the flight quite well, but when we got our baby, we decided to drive to get her. They sell travel cages about $100.00 we put her in her travel cage and had a piece of cloth to cover the cage with (birds can get car sick, covering the cage usually helps with this if it happens). nims Posted September 19, 2008 Share Posted September 19, 2008 Hi Marie, When I went to get indy our breeder gave us a carrier (cat/dog carrier) at the time i hadnt thought of getting a travel cage but have since got one and its great.
