Sterling
Last week my 4 year old sun conure Rosie got spooked and flew off. She hit a wall a lost some feathers near her eye. It appears the spot she hurt does not bother her when I touch it. Since that time, more feathers have fallen out around that spot. She shares her home with a gold cap named Meadow. Rosie can not get to that spot on her eye by her self. Do you think Meadow is plucking her feathers and if so will she keep doing this?
danmcq
Hi barry, I would suspect those feathers that are coming out were bent or broken in the wall collision. It is possible meadow is trying to preen that area rosie can not get to and removing damaged feathers for her. But, until you actually see meadow do so, I would go with the first theory. :-)
