Kaedyn Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Since this is something we don't often get to see, I thought I'd post a picture where I just happened to freeze a shot of my grey's nictitating membrane aka third eyelid. Its purpose is to protect and clean the eye. It also has its own lubricating duct.
