So this is your first grey, is it also your first parrot? You are doing the right thing to find out all you can before you make that purchase, you need to be sure a grey is really what you want and how to care for him/her. I was wondering, is there that much of a behavioral difference between males and females? I've read that males can be a bit more aggressive and females more shy than males. Of course there are differences between males and females but each bird is so individual and unique, neither sex is better than the other for a pet.
