Dipping Gold Pellets

So, Funny little habbit here. My male will take a pellet, pop a hole in it and dip it in water before he eats it. Not once in a while but with every pellet he takes. My female does NOT do this. Not even once. My husband said... did he just dip that in water...LOL

 

I'm not at all concerned just thought it is strange.

 

Anyone maybe know why?

Morgan dips his dried banana chips in water before eating them. Just a quick dip then he happily munches away on it. He doesn't dip any other foods that I've noticed. I suspect our guys just prefer some of their food slightly damp {Nature-00020096}

Mine dips his pellets, too. He dips those and dried fruit to soften it I guess. Atleast thats what the lady said at the bird store I go to told me:silly: .

Yeah, seems to be pretty normal(yet annoying with the dirty water bowls!). Joey and Refund both dunk pellets, Joey does seem to however forget some pellets in her water and make soup. Although I noticed she only leaves the blue and or the yellow ones.
