Tycos_mom
Tues my daughter taught Tyco a dance it goes like this. Its called Shake and bake play for keeps. what it is is my daughter waves her hand up and down saying shake and bake play for keep then Tyco opens her wings slightly, starts bobing her head up and down and struts back and forth saying shake and bake play for keeps. Well I guess my Cockateil has been watching Tyco do this. So yesterday Spike(Cockateil) was on top of his cage and all of a sudden he opened his wings slightly and started struting and bobing his head say shake and bake play for keeps over and over. I laughed so hard to see this little bird dancing and singing a song it was so cute. I wished I had my camera handy but of course I couldn't find it. Spike is a WFcockateil and ever since he was a baby he has thought of himself as an african Grey for a Teil he has a large vocabulary because he try's to say everything Tyco says. He's so cute and so smart. This is a picture of him anyway.

Suzzique
Did you know that the bird that holds the Genuis Book for number of words is a parakeet? So no reason at all that Spike can have just as large a vocabulary as Tyco! :woohoo:
BMustee
White Face are my favorite kind of Cockatiel! They always seem to be sweeter than the other mutations...but that might be because the cashier at my work always spoils them. You HAVE the get the "shake and bake, play for keeps" dance on video...I gotta see it!!! Our tiel is named Spike too (my 10 year old named him! lol I guess she thought it was original ) And he is also a white-faced gray. Well he's just a baby right now so when he molts we'll know for sure if he's a he or a she, but he's a he for now...heehee!
