HappyClown Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Oh what to do. Happy is nine months old and has not seen a drop of baby formula in 2 months. He has been eating pellets and a veggy mix as well as almonds as snacks. And now all of a sudden when he sees me he starts doing this chirping sound with that hi pitched whistle and fluffs up the feathers around the head. All of which appears that he wants to be fed. I offered him his pellets by hand and he refused them. I even tried another brand of pellets. This afternoon I cut up an apple and he tasted it but left it after a couple of bites. What do I do? this incessant begging is making me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!
Matthew Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 That's a tough one. I hope he's eating something. How was he weaned? Do you ever give him a warm meal? Also, be sure to keep your own emotions in check when dealing with this. Greys are amazing at reading peoples energy.
siobha9 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 As Matthew mentioned a warm meal might be the way to go. You could feed him some oatmeal or a jar of baby food (unsweetened) from a spoon. Do you think he is eating but wants a handfeed as well? Or is he not eating at all? If its the latter I would consider a checkup at the vets;)
