BlueCounty
Before........ 1) Your baby grey was totally consent to sit on your hand or lap and let you move around with him on your hand without taking off in flight? 2) Flew safely? 3) Flew to you? I'm only on my 3rd day with Gizmo and have no real idea of what the timescales are of these? I really like him sitting on top of his cage but he does worry me when he flys off...(probably just too much enthusiasm) P.s. I'd just like to say a massive thank you to all those who have helped me! lovemyGreys
All babies are different just like kids really. There is no real time scale.some greys are natural fidgets & cant keep still, others are content to sit & have a scratch.By around 12 weeks + they should be quite mastered in their flying skills.you will have to teach your baby to fly to you.Hold out your arm, call his name & try to get him to come, give a command so he can associate it to flying to you,if succesful offer a small reward & plenty of praise.Have patience it takes time . Falconeer
My baby was very curious from the store itself to checkout my watch. And nibble on my finger tips. Perhaps bite my nails off! But it was so cute. At day 2 end, it wanted to fly to me or climb on my shoulder when it saw me walking by. Still does that and it is very very hyper. It is the month of fasting where I live at and day before yesterday, I fell sleep just 2 hours before the time to break the fast. Somehow he knew it is time to wake me up or whatever, he just jumped on my face as I lay on the couch. I woke up, saw the watch and I had 20 minutes to prepare a meal! That was my Discovey channel moment!
siobha9
Hi Falconeer, Welcome back! Really like lovemygreys says they are all different. One of mine was into everything straight away, and the other who was older was very nervous. Gizmo is doing great, he will do everything in his own time;)
