BMustee
What a cutie! I love the B&G's and down the line I may end up getting one. This is the B&G I want...his name is Ethel and is the biggest B&G I have ever seen. He's 8 years old and I can't get any work done without him dancing and blowing up his crop to get my attention. Lyric
Thanks for sharing those pics with us, they are both beautiful. I've always thought that B&G's are just stunningly beautiful birds- I have a little fear of the bigger birds' beaks though.
BMustee
I like the name Peanut too...very cute! How is the addition...everyone doing OK? Ethel was raised at the store and was sold to a lady that named him Ethel...wanting a "female" bird. When Ethel became sexually mature she just couldn't handle him anymore and gave him back to the store. He never had a DNA test done but his Pelvic bones are so tight an egg would never get through and he doen't act like a sexual mature female...he acts like a male trying to get a date! One of these days I'm going to pay for the DNA myself to find out once and for all what Ethel is.
siobha9
Thanks for the explanation Let me guess... You're the "date" he wants?
Skippy
Actually they haven't had the chance of being "together" because the boys, CAG's nip at Peanut from outside her cage, a beak pecking fight so we don't give them a chance. BMustee
Ahhh so the Greys aren't too keen on the idea of a B&G in the house. Well, take it slow and I'm sure the boys will relax a bit. And yes, he wants a "date" with me! :silly:
